Many schools I work with are keen to spread out the storytelling excitement throughout the school, which can make for a busy but fun day! However, I was recently able to spend a whole day focusing solely on engaging and inspiring early years classrooms. This meant that there was time to get messy, as well as enact out stories! I had a blast with the nursery and reception children of Bligh Primary School, learning songs, rhymes and crafting clay gingerbread girls, printed crowns and little red hens.

‘They were engaged and active joining in stories and rhymes with a good range of stories told from different cultures.’
