I adapted the tale Saving Spring: A Scandinavian legend to add local geographical references and animals commonly found in the UK, in order to approach Easter Storytelling from a fresh perspective.
Children were encouraged to venture north to save Spring, completing various activities and challenges along the way such as hunting for handpainted hardboiled eggs, jumping like a rabbit and singing like a lark.
Winter’s ice feeds off fear
but melts away when joy is near.
Travel north to Winter’s lair
with a happy heart, free from care.
