I celebrated World Book Day 2016 with a collection of interactive stories and songs about the love of reading at Petham primary school in school in Kent.

Songs, actions, rhymes and warm up activities all helped ignite the imagination of pupils and demonstrated the transformative power of literacy.

Key Stage Two pupils gained a deeper understanding of storytelling technique by developing and performing their own shadow puppet shows.
